"THE WINES OF ALSACE"
Fri., Sept. 25, 2009 6:30-8:30pm
Armory Center, Pasadena
This tasting will bring together some
of the best wines from this region,
including Zind–Humbrecht,
Schlumberger, Ostertag, Trimbach,
and more, ranging from 1995, to 2007,
from dry to sweet, all with lots of
character. Did you know Alsace is
one of the driest regions in France?
The Voges mountains provide a “rain
shadow” and the cool days mixed with
lots of sunshine allow the white
grapes of Alsace to ripen perfectly. If
you’re not too familiar with Alsace
wines, or have never had any good
examples, this tasting will definitely
leave you craving for more. If you are
already an Alsace fan, the selection
will make you drool. These are some
amazing wines, and will be a great
tasting, especially for the price.
